About Us / History:
The Lazio Juniors Club (Aust) Inc.
was established in 2006 by a group of friends
who are descendants of families from a region in Italy called "Lazio"
The group wanted to maintain and continue on with the traditions from our
ancestors especially after hearing about all the good times they had in the past.
We wanted to reunite with many of our community friends and continue on having a great
time by organising and holding many diverse social events for everyone to enjoy,
especially our children.
Our Club is a non profit organization who organises social events
for families, friends and the greater community.
(We are not a soccer club, We are a social club)
Today, Our Club is recognised by the Italian Government in which supports us via many
social programs such as student exchange programs, cultural and traditional
learning programs, pension programs just to name a few or simply provide us with
Government incentives to reunite Australians of Italian descendants with their heritage.
In 2009, we have taken part in a massive undertaking of organising the first
Federation of Lazio clubs in New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory (NSW/ACT).
Together with the Federation of Victoria and South Australia (VIC/SA),
also formed in 2009, make up the Co-Federation of Lazio Clubs in Australia.
To date, the Co-Federation is made up of 13 Lazio Clubs, Australia wide.

Symbols of Latium (Regione Lazio - Flag)
The gonfalon and the emblem were adopted on the 17th September 1984 with corrections on the 8th January 1986. The emblem is an octagon fimbriated in gold with nine fields. Four of them represent the Italian colors and the five other the coats of arms of the five provinces of the region in saltire.
The gonfalon is sky blue with a dark blue border with the emblem in the middle.
This last is surrounded by laurel and olive branches and surmounted by a golden crown.
Under appear the words Regione Lazio in gold.
